Let’s get started by getting a handle on some acronyms. INS is short for Integrated Notification System; it is the MAW Software product that I will be reviewing in this article. IVR is short for Interactive Voice Response; it is the generic term used for automated call processing.

Now that we got that out of the way, you need to know that INS is MAW Software’s highly configurable IVR software. Get it up and running on your Windows-powered PC and you will be able to handle incoming calls from your PC and send messages from your PC.

A setup wizard will help you get INS up and running on your Windows-powered PC. When you’re done with the installation and you launch INS for the first time, a quick setup wizard will show up and help you go through some standard settings. The Quick Look video that accompanies this article presents the aforementioned setup wizard as well as the aforementioned quick setup wizard.

I am going to be honest with you. Getting started with INS, figuring out how to set things up, may take a bit of time. It helps if you are a tech savvy computer user and if you have some IVR experience under your belt. It also helps to check out the Help documentation that accompanies INS. It tells you what can be done with INS, it explains how to receive calls, it explains how to send messages, it presents some sample IVR scripts, and more.

If you’re looking for IVR software, MAW Software’s INS (Integrated Notification System) is well worth a try. With it you can make and receive calls, send and receive messages.

Pros

A setup wizard will help you install INS on your Windows-powered PC. A quick setup wizard will help you go through the initial configuration. There’s a detailed Help file that you can turn to. Use INS to handle incoming calls from your PC and to send messages from your PC. The evaluation copy is fully functional.

Cons

There will be a learning curve; you may find it a bit difficult to use at first.
